Excise Notice 192: Registered Dealers in Controlled Oil

Released 11 October 2017

HMRC have re-issued Excise Notice 192 to clarify how the Registered Dealers in Controlled Oil scheme operates.

Excise Notice 192: Registered Dealers in Controlled Oil explains the Registered Dealers in Controlled Oil (RDCO) Scheme which requires anyone intending to sell or deal in controlled oils, namely gas oil (red diesel), kerosene (paraffin, burning oil) and aviation turbine fuel, to be approved to do so. This notice has been updated in multiple sections to help clarify the Registered Dealers in Controlled Oil Scheme. Details of all changes to the previous version can be found in paragraph 1.2.
