ESMA seeks candidates for corporate reporting committee

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has issued a call for candidates in order to renew the composition of its consultative working group (CWG) which advises its  corporate reporting standing committee (CRSC)

The CRSC undertakes ESMA’s work on issues related to accounting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), audit, periodic financial reporting, electronic reporting developments and storage of regulated information.

CWG members are selected for a renewable term of two years.

Among the current members who are UK base are Roger Collinge , head of corporate governance group, UK Shareholders’ Association; Robert Hodgkinson, the ICAEW’s executive director (technical); Thierry James, group technical accounting controller, Centrica Plc; Liz Murrall, director, stewardship and reporting, The Investment Association; Andrew Spooner, lead IFRS financial instruments partner globally, Deloitte;  Mark Vaessen, KPMG global IFRS network leader; and Peter Walton, European Accounting Association Financial Reporting Research Group.
